About the Gloria’s Foundation Fellowship 2025 (July - December)

Gloria's Foundation, named in celebration of Gloria Steinem's ongoing work as an activist and organizer, has been established with the primary goal of supporting and nurturing the feminist movement. In 2024, Gloria’s Foundation launched its inaugural fellowship program, which aims to support and cultivate changemakers and hope-aholics.

The Foundation will choose two fellows for a six-month fellowship, which will take place July through December 2025. This program will offer tools, resources, and a safe and inspiring space for work and organizing for fellows whose work/independent project centers around justice.

Terms

➢ Access to the Foundation’s space on the Upper East Side (New York City) two times/month from 9am-6pm. Must book 1 week in advance. There is an office including a Mac Desktop and printer available for use on-site.
➢ Access to the Foundation’s library during visits to the space.
➢ Access to support from Gloria’s Foundation team and community-building opportunities with those aIiliated with Fellowship program.
➢ Invitation to Talking Circles programs. Dates and topics to be provided as they are scheduled.
➢ Fellows will organize one Talking Circle during their six-month fellowship, which Gloria Steinem will attend (if desired). Fellows will be responsible for deciding the topic and inviting up to 3 guests with approval from Gloria’s Foundation team. The Talking Circle must be scheduled two months in advance (to avoid conflicts with Gloria Steinem’s schedule) but can be held at any point during the six-month fellowship (exception: holidays).
➢ Three private, in-person, 1 hour meetings with Gloria Steinem (one at the start of the fellowship; one anytime throughout the fellowship; one at the end). Must be scheduled in advance with Gloria Steinem’s oIice.
➢ $2,500 stipend and lunch provided when working on-site.
➢ Given the Foundation’s focus on organizing and community, there is an expectation that chosen fellows will continue to form the growth and future of the fellowship and Foundation. This may include providing helpful feedback regarding the program and the Foundation via an interview with Foundation staff.

The 2025 fellowship will run from July - December 2025.
